Stainless steel 316H Angle is a high-carbon version of 316, providing higher strength at elevated temperatures. Its composition is about 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel and 2-3% molybdenum, with trace amounts of manganese, silicon and carbon. The high carbon content improves its creep, stress and rupture properties, making it suitable for high temperature applications. Mechanical properties include a yield of 205 MPa (30 ksi), an ultimate tensile strength of 515 MPa (75 ksi), and an elongation of 40% in 50 mm providing particularly excellent corrosion resistance at marine and medical.
